Cowboy Costume

Before he really understood Halloween, I searched Bambino’s closet wondering what I could pull together for a costume. It wasn’t hard: he’d been given some tiny cowboy boots and a hat, so that year he was a cowboy!

Materials:

• white long-sleeved tshirt

• jeans

• red bandana

• boots (optional)

• hat (optional)

• brown fleece

The only piece of the costume I had to make was the vest, and I just used some brown fleece. I cut a vest shape with fringe on the bottom and on the sides. I tied the fringe (just like a tie blanket) along the sides and at the shoulder. I made it a little long, but that has meant several years of dress-up. Yeehaw! The fastest little cowboy vest in the west!
