The Sistine Chapel for Children & Families: a Walk and Talk

  • Stanley Marketplace 2501 North Dallas Street Aurora, Colorado 80010 United States (map)

The Sistine Chapel is coming to Denver’s The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace!

Michelangelo grew up in Florence, Italy where he learned how to draw and to paint and to sculpt and to tell stories by studying the works of great artists. Bring your family and experience Michelangelo’s frescoes from the Sistine Chapel up close, and join Angela K. Nickerson, author of A Journey into Michelangelo’s Rome, for an interactive conversation about storytelling and art that will get your creative juices flowing. Children of all ages are welcome!

Tickets are available for purchase at the Stanley box office. The link is below. I hope to see you there!

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

We are bringing the Sistine Chapel to Stanley Marketplace! Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition recreates the awe and wonder of one of mankind’s greatest artistic achievements, and gives viewers the chance to experience and enjoy Michelangelo's work up close and personal. With special expertise and care, the 33 ceiling paintings from the Sistine Chapel have been reproduced in museum quality at near-original size, allowing visitors to fully engage and study the details of the artwork. The Last Judgment, Michelangelo’s towering altar wall fresco painted 25 years after the ceiling, is also included in the exhibition.
