Planning is more than just managing our family calendar. For me planning is a mindful practice — a little like mental yoga. It doesn’t have to be painful. It should be intentional. And the benefits blossom over time. And of course, planning helps us to manage our increasingly-complicated family calendar, too.
I have gathered together my thoughts and approaches to planning in one place. If you have never truly used a planner before, I have pieces on why planning on paper is so important. I am a former teacher, and all of the brain research shows that writing stuff down is essential for learning and retention. I have also collected together some of my favorite planners as well as other resources I use to make planning even more fun (think washi tape and stickers!).
Welcome to planning — a practice that will help you manage your time and reach your goals!
